The Cosmology, Gravity and Astroparticle Physics Group (CTPU-CGA) at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) is inviting applications for three undergraduate research interns for the period from July to August 2026.

Selected interns will stay at the institute for two months and participate in a variety of academic activities, including group meetings, seminars, and workshops. They will also receive basic exposure to cosmology, gravity, and related topics, through which they will have the opportunity to experience the research environment firsthand.

About the Group

CTPU-CGA conducts research on a broad range of topics in modern theoretical physics, with a focus on cosmology, gravity, and astroparticle physics. This internship is designed to provide students with direct research experience in these fields and to help those who are still considering their future field of graduate study.

Eligibility

Third-year undergraduate students who have NOT YET decided on their graduate field of study
※ Fourth-year undergraduate students may also apply if they meet the same condition

Internship Period

July 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026
※ Interns are expected to stay at the institute and carry out the internship during this period

Support

Approximately KRW 1.5 million per month, including the cost of on-campus dormitory accommodation
