Overview

IBS-UNIST Neuroscience Scholarship is a master’s and Ph.D. program run in collaboration with the IBS Center for Cognition and Sociality and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). The program is designed to promote collaborative research in neuroscience and nurture the next generation of brain science researchers.

Students under this program will take basic courses at UNIST while performing laboratory experiments and research at IBS. World-class faculty and researchers of IBS and UNIST will serve as co-advisors of student dissertations while collaborating on research. Through consultation, students can conduct research at both institutes under an arrangement for a certain period of time.

Financial Aid

IBS and UNIST will share the costs of the program and stipends will be paid in accordance with the UNIST scholarship policy.

- Master’s students: Minimum KRW 9,600,000 per year

- Ph.D. students: Minimum KRW 13,200,000 per year

Full tuition scholarships will be given until the coursework for each degree program is complete.

Dormitory is available for students living outside Daejeon on a first come, first served basis.
