The IBS Center for Climate Physics (ICCP) at Pusan National University (PNU) is currently seeking a highly motivated System Administrator to maintain and operate the Aleph supercomputer at the IBS headquarters in Daejeon. The start date will be January 1^st, 2017, or earlier. The position is full-time, with benefits and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities

The Computer System Administrator will be responsible for an efficient and secure operation of the Cray XC-50-LC Aleph supercomputing system (hardware and software) and other computing infrastructures at the ICCP, including the parallel Lustre file system, an IBM tape archive, and a climate data server.

Job Skills

•               Korean (spoken and written), English (preferred)

•               Proficiency in Mac OS X/Linux/UNIX System Administration

•               Enthusiasm to work in an international work environment

•               Configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of computers, software, storage, and network

•               Coordinate installation of new computing equipment (software and hardware).

•               Shell scripting and automation

•               Server security expertise and status monitoring of HPC systems

•               Experience with computer server hardware

Job Requirements

•               Bachelor’s degree (minimum), master’s degree (preferred)

•               > 5 years of work experience as a Computer Systems Administrator, or a similar role
