Non-tenure track research fellow position of "Center for Artificial Low Dimensional Electronic Systems" in the Institute for Basic Science (IBS)

Center for Artificial Low Dimensional Electronic Systems (CALDES), Institute for Basic Science (IBS) in Pohang, Korea, directed by prof. Han Woong Yeom invites applications for a non-tenure track research fellow in the research field of scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy (STM/STS) of novel 2D materials. The CALDES is one of the collaborative research centers belonging to IBS, a newly established national research institute to lead the top notch basic science research of Korea.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to STM/STS research on van der Waals materials with strong interactions using the low temperature STM facilities of CALDES and to the commissioning of new ultra-low and high-magnetic-field STM facility. The ideal candidate must have strong background in STM/STS and the solid state physics or surface physics.

■ Appointment period

The appointment is a full time non- tenure track contract. Those in non-tenure track research positions may renew their employment contract once after the initial contract and the total contract period shall not exceed five years. The initial contract starts from March 16th, 2020.
