The
Institute for Basic Science (IBS) is a national research institute established
under Article 14 of the 「Special Act on the Establishment and Support of the
International Science and Business Belt」. Its mission is to secure creative knowledge
and fundamental technologies through world-class basic science research. The Axion Dark Matter Group (DMAG), located at the KAIST Munji Campus in
Daejeon, conducts advanced experimental research to search for axions, one of
the most promising candidates for dark matter. Through innovative
instrumentation and precision measurement techniques, DMAG aims to deepen our
understanding of the universe and contribute to the global effort in unveiling

Research Position

(Senior Researcher) Appointment is initially for a fixed term and renewable once, with a
maximum total term of up to 5 years.
(Postdoctoral Research Associate) Conduct research
while at the same time receiving postdoctoral training for a certain period
of time to deepen their understanding of a field and develop a distinctive
research capability. Available for individuals who are within the first five
years after obtaining their Ph.D. or to be obtained within 3 months from the
