Fields, Gravity & Strings Group (FGS) is a creative research hothouse of integrated fundamental science of matter, information and forces. In our group, we incessantly and vigorously strive to answer questions of "why"s, not just "how"s.

We aim at addressing "big open questions" about the Universe from Planck scale to Hubble scale, its fundamental laws from quantum to classical regime, its coded informations from black hole to cosmos, its evolution from birth to eternity, and its mysterious building blocks from strings to dark energy and dark matter. We strive to answer these outstanding questions by attracting talented expertises worldwide and practicing polymath collaborations in creativity-driven open campus environment. We will be the first of this sort in Korea and Asia, exemplifying how curiosity-driven research is to be carried out.
