On the 21st, the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) Science Culture Center hosted the 'IBS X Art: Science Meets Art' seminar. This seminar, centered on the convergence of science and art, brought together about 100 participants, including IBS researchers, artists, and the general public, to share new perspectives.

The event began with presentations and public lectures by artists. Artists CHOI Chan-sook, MIN Ji-hoon, HWANG Sun-jeong, and SHIN Hyun-jin introduced their artworks and creative processes, fostering interaction with the participants.

In the second part, IBS researchers presented their latest research and engaged in discussions with the artists. Attendees shared their processes of finding answers to given questions, finding common ground between science and art.

This seminar is expected to play a significant role in providing new perspectives through the interaction between science and art.
