IBS research team led by Professor HEO Won Do highlighted by Physics WorldProfessor HEO Won Do and his research team of the IBS Center for Cognition and Sociality were featured in the biophysics section of Physics World, the membership magazine of the Institute of Physics, one of the largest physical societies in the world.
Physics World highlighted their recent Nature Methods paper that reported “optogenetically activated intracellular antibody”, or “optobodies”. The optpbodies operates as a one-in-all platform that could help develop new therapies for cancer or autoimmune diseases. Professor HEO explains, “Our optobody system is a great tool to study the role of endogenous proteins in living cells and animals, and also shows great clinical promise for therapeutic strategies in the future.” |
