The Center for Underground Physics (CUP, http://ibs.re.kr/cup) at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS, http://www.ibs.re.kr/eng.do ), located in Daejeon, South Korea, invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in simulation for particle astrophysics experiments. CUP is actively engaged in leading international research programs, including neutrinoless double beta decay searches, dark matter searches, and neutrino oscillation experiments.
These efforts are conducted at Yemilab, a newly established underground laboratory, as well as reactor sites.
The successful candidate will contribute to advanced simulation and analysis efforts for supporting these experiments.

Employment Conditions Category Detail Work location Center for Underground
Physics (HQ/Daejeon) Research Position (Postdoctoral Research Associate) Conduct research
while at the same time receiving postdoctoral training for a certain period
of time to deepen their understanding of a field and develop a distinctive
research capability. Available for individuals who are within the first five
years after obtaining their Ph.D. or to be obtained within 3 months from the
appointment start date. Employment can be renewed only once and the total
appointed term is up to 3 years ※ In case of the
Center’s closure during employment, the employment contract will be
terminated accordingly Salary In accordance with the institute’s internal
regulations (Pay-band system applied). Employment date September1st,
2026 (If the selected candidate is unable to start by December 1, 2026, the
