Learning the "Secrets of PRL" from its Editor Robert GaristoChosen by Physics Nobel Laureates and by the scientists who detected gravitational waves, the peer-reviewed journal Physical Review Letters (PRL) is regarded as one of the most prestigious journals in the field of physics. On October 13, 2016 PRL Editor Dr. Robert Garisto visited the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) in Daejeon and met IBS physicists. After touring the newly-opened laboratory of the Rare Isotope Science Project (RISP) and learning about IBS' present and future directions in physics from Director Sergej Flach (Center for Theoretical Physics of Complex Systems), Director Yannis K. Semertzidis (Center for Axion and Precision Physics Research), Dr. OH Yoomin (Center for Underground Physics) and Dr. Kenji Kadota (Center for Theoretical Physics of the Universe). Dr. Garisto gave a talk titled "Secrets of PRL", where he presented the structure of Physical Review journals, the rules in the review process and the keys to writing a winning PRL paper.
