The mathematics magazine, ‘Mathematics Donga’ published the interview of our group CI Jae Kyoung Kim, titled [IBS x Mathematics Donga] Mathematician revealing the secret of Biology, Professor Jae Kyoung Kim.

On June 29, 2021, Hyun Kim from the Korea University gave a talk at the IBS Biomedical Mathematics Seminar. The title of his talk was “Deciphering circadian clock cell network morphology within the biological master clock, the suprachiasmatic nucleus.”
On June 26, 2021, Dae Wook Kim from our group received the KSIAM Young Researcher Paper Award for his paper “Wake-sleep cycles are severely disrupted by diseases affecting cytoplasmic homeostasis”, PNAS (2020). Accordingly, he gave a talk introducing his work at the 2021 KSIAM spring conference. Congratulation!
On June 18, 2021, Sookkyung Lim from the University of Cincinnati gave a talk at the IBS Biomedical Mathematics Seminar. The title of her talk was “Introduction to immersed boundary method for biofluids.” Moreover, she had passionate discussions with our group members!
During 13 – 18 June 2021, the annual meeting of the SMB was held online. Our group members gave seven presentations (1 Special SIAM Session, 2 Minisymposia, 1 Contributed talk, and 3 Posters).
Moreover, Seokjoo Chae and Yun Min Song were awarded poster presentation prizes. Congratulation!
