Lucas MacQuarrie (Graduate student) has joined our group.
Lucas is a graduate student at the department of mathematical sciences, KAIST.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Western Ontario.
He has worked previously on orthogonal polynomials as well as applied dynamical systems.

On February 8th, a total of 11 participants of the 2024 BIMAG Winter Internship had a time to present the outcomes of the projects they had been working on for the past month. Not only did all participants achieve excellent results, but they also delivered great presentations. Following the event, we had a meal together at the Daejeon 한우곰탕 restaurant.
지난 2월 8일, 총 11명의 2024 BIMAG Winter Internship 참여자들이 지난 한 달여 동안 진행한 프로젝트의 성과를 발표하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 모든 참여자가 훌륭한 성과를 냈을 뿐만 아니라 좋은 발표를 해주었습니다. 행사 직후 대전 한우곰탕 식당에서 함께 식사를 진행했습니다.

On Dec 11th, the Population Approach Group in Korea annual meeting took place at the IBS Science Culture Center. Numerous pharmacologists gathered to share their research, and CI Jae Kyoung Kim presented the study conducted at BIMAG.

From Nov 2nd to 4th, members of BIMAG had the privilege of the 2023 KSIAM Annual Meeting held at Kimdaejung Convention Center, Gwangju, Korea. During the conference, every member had the chance to present their work and interact with accomplished applied/industrial mathematicians.

Dr. Brenda Lyn Gavina has joined our group as a postdoctoral fellow.
Dr. Brenda Lyn Gavina earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of the Philippines Diliman, specializing in mathematical modeling and control of the menstrual cycle as her research focus.
From October 17th to 18th, the HFSP Awardee’s symposium was held at the IBS Science Culture Center. CI Jae Kyoung Kim participated in the event’s committee and helped facilitate the event.

From Oct 8th to 12th, members of BIMAG had the privilege of the ICSB 2023 held at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, USA. Throughout the conference, each member delivered exceptional presentations, engaging with outstanding researchers in the Systems Biology field.
