On September 6th, our student Olive gave a talk on the paper “Predicting multiple observations in complex systems through low-dimensional embeddings” at the Journal Club.
Former BIMAG member, Dr. Daewook Kim, began his role as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at KAIST on September 1.
Starting September, Dr. Seokjoo Chae begins as a postdoctoral associate at Rice University.
On August 16th, our postdoc Dr. Spinicci gave a talk on “SMSSVD : Submatrix selection singular value decomposition” at the Journal Club.
CI Jae Kyoung Kim released his new book, 수학이 생명의 언어라면 (If Mathematics is the Language of Biology), on August 22, 2024. The book explores how mathematical concepts can be applied to solve complex biomedical challenges. It is available at https://product.kyobobook.co.kr/detail/S000214091798.
On August 9th, Dr. Hwang gave a talk on “A universal description of stochastic oscillators” at the Journal Club.
On August 2nd, our student Yun Min Song gave a talk on “RNA velocity of single cells” at the Journal Club.
On 26th July, Dr. Jeong gave a talk on “Temperature compensation through kinetic regulation in biochemical oscillators” at the Journal Club.
On 19th July, our student Dongju Lim gave a talk on “Stochastic representations of ion channel kinetics and exact stochastic simulation of neuronal dynamics” at the Journal Club.
On 12th July, Dr. Chae gave a talk on “Holimap: an accurate and efficient method for solving stochastic gene network dynamics” at the BIMAG Journal Club. Many interns participated.
