Our group members (Prof. Jae Kyoung Kim, Dr. Hyuntae Jo, Hyukpyo Hong, and Yun Min Song) participated in 2022 MINDS Workshop: MINDS & IBS BIMAG & APCTP encountering. The workshop was held in POSTECH and the members gave talks.
On April 8, 2022, Aurelio de los Reyes V gave a talk on “RTransferEntropy — Quantifying information flow between different time series using effective transfer entropy”, Behrendt et al., SoftwareX, 2019, at the Journal Club.
On April 7, 2022, Kunihiko Kaneko from the University of Tokyo, gave an online talk at the IBS Biomedical Mathematics Colloquium. The title of his talk was “Universal biology in adaptation and evolution: dimensional reduction, and fluctuation-response relationship.”
2022년 4월 5일, 권창현 교수님의 Julia 프로그래밍 언어 튜토리얼이 진행되었습니다. 온라인/오프라인을 통해 100명 가까이 참석한 이 튜토리얼에서 권창현 교수님은 Julia의 설치부터 시작하여 장단점, 추천 분야 등 여러 특징에 대한 소개까지 해주셨습니다.
또한 미국 ANL 김기백 박사님의 “Julia로 분산시스템 사용하기”, LG CNS 김종수 박사님의 “Julia로 ML 모델 만들기”, IBS 김현 박사님의 “Julia로 미분방정식 풀기”, 이상 3개의 짧은 실제 응용 사례 발표도 진행되었습니다.
2022년 4월 5일, 권창현 교수님의 대학원생 길라잡이 워크샵이 진행되었습니다. 교수님의 경험을 공유하고 학생들과 자유롭게 대화하는 시간을 가졌습니다.
On April 1, 2022, Hyuntae Jo gave a talk on “Physics-informed learning of governing equations from scarce data”, Chen et al., Nature Communications, 2021, at the Journal Club.
On March 31, 2022, Uri Alon from the Weizmann Institute of Science, gave an online talk at the IBS Biomedical Mathematics Colloquium. The title of his talk was “Design principles of physiological circuits.”
On 16 Mar. 2022, science communicator Sung-ju Kang (nickname: ‘Hang Sung’) from Gwacheon National Science Museum visited our group. He is also a member of Youtube Channel ‘UnrealScience (안될과학)‘.
2022년 3월 16일 수요일, 국립과천과학관의 과학커뮤니케이터로 활동 중이신 강성주 박사님이 저희 그룹을 방문하셨습니다. 강성주 박사님은 ‘항성’이라는 별명으로 유튜브 채널 ‘안될과학‘의 일원으로 활동 중이시기도 합니다.
On March 25, 2022, Hyukpyo Hong gave a talk on “Universal structural requirements for maximal robust perfect adaptation in biomolecular networks”, Gupta and Khammash, bioRxiv, 2022, at the Journal Club.
On March 24, 2022, Mason Porter from UCLA, gave an online talk at the IBS Biomedical Mathematics Colloquium. The title of his talk was “Topological data analysis of spatial systems.” At the beginning of his talk, he gave a 25-minutes introductory talk for topological data analysis.
