On December 10th-12th, Prof. Jae Kyoung Kim (CI) and Dr. Shingo Gibo gave oral presentations at the RIKEN-IBS Joint Workshop on Mathematical Approaches to Nature: from High-energy Physics to Biology 2025.
From November 28 to 30, IBS BIMAG members and collaborators gathered to host the IBS BIMAG & KAIST Math Biology Lab Winter Workshop. (Workshop Website) The workshop provided an opportunity for BIMAG members and researchers from various fields to share their ongoing research and discuss and present plans for future projects.

Six distinguished researchers gave lectures on fundamental topics and the latest results and methodologies in various fields of mathematical biology.

Additionally, on the first day of the event, there were a total of 35 poster presentations during the poster session.
더불어 행사 첫날 포스터 세션에서는 총 35편의 포스터 발표가 있었습니다.
On the last day of the event, during the excursion, we had an enjoyable time touring Gongsanseong Fortress and the Tomb of King Muryeong.
행사 마지막 날의 Excursion에서는 공산성과 무령왕릉 등을 관광하며 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.
On January 23, 2024, Hyun Kim gave a talk at the 2nd Single Cell & Spatial Omics Workshop. The title of the presentation was ‘scLENS: Data-driven signal detection for unbiased scRNA-seq data analysis.’

On 21st December 2022, BIMAG members participated in IBS-Sungshin Workshop. Students from IBS BIMAG and the behavioral sciences and therapy laboratory at Sungshin university presented their ongoing projects.

On 19 December 2022, a mini-workshop was held featuring some of the current trends in pure and applied mathematics. (title: Mini-workshop on Recent Trends in Pure and Applied Mathematics).
Several faculties from the Institute of Mathematics, University of the Philippines Diliman were invited to share their academic group’s ongoing research. Prof. Seunggyu Lee (Korea University), Dr. Dae Wook Kim (University of Michigan), and Dr. Soyoung Kim gave talks on the said activity. In addition, some BIMAG members presented their current research projects.

다수의 University of the Philippines Diliman 수학과 교수진을 초청해 각 연구 그룹에서 진행중인 연구 내용을 공유하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 고려대학교 이승규 교수님, 미시간대학교 김대욱 박사님, NIMS 김소영 박사님께서도 연구 결과에 대해서 발표해주셨습니다. 또한, 저희 ibs 의생명수학그룹원들도 현재 진행하고 있는 프로젝트에 대해서 발표하는 시간을 가졌습니다.
