On May 28th, an interview with CI Jae Kyoung kim was uploaded to the official KAIST YouTube channel under the title “Wait, Wasn’t This in My Dream?! Sleep, Science, Technology, and Sleep Diagnosis.” In the interview, CI Jae Kyoung kim introduced the ongoing research on sleep disorders being conducted at BIMAG.

On May 27th, the recent research findings conducted by BIMAG on the causal relationship between mood disorders and circadian rhythms were reported by various media outlets. On May 24th, our new postdoc Kevin gave a talk at the BIMAG Journal Club on “PenDA, a rank-based method for personalized differential analysis: Application to lung cancer”.

Dr. Kévin SPINICCI has joined our group as a postdoctoral fellow.
Dr. Kévin SPINICCI earned his Ph.D. from TIMC Lab.
He has worked previously on computational and mathematical approaches to understand cancer cells metabolism reprogramming and consequences for therapeutic optimization.

From April 25th to 28th, BIMAG members participated in the KAIST booth at the 2024 Korea Science Festival. They had the opportunity to introduce the AI SLEEPs, predicting sleep disorders, and the SleepWake app for recommending sleep patterns, developed by BIMAG , to numerous visitors.

Jonathan Rubin, a professor at the University of Pittsburgh and a visiting scholar at BIMAG, has been elected as the chair of the SIAM Activity Group on Dynamical Systems. This group, comprising over 1,000 SIAM members who published 105 related journal articles in 2023, serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and information among mathematicians and applied scientists working with dynamical systems, until the end of 2025.
피츠버그 대학 교수이자 BIMAG의 방문 연구원인 Jonathan Rubin 교수가 SIAM 다이내믹 시스템 활동 그룹 의장이 되었습니다. 이 그룹은 2023년에 105편의 관련 학술지 논문을 발표한 1,000명 이상의 SIAM 회원으로 구성되어 있으며, 2025년까지 다이내믹 시스템과 관련된 수학자와 응용 과학자 간의 아이디어와 정보 교환의 장이 될 예정입니다.
