On September 18th, an interview with CI Professor Jae Kyoung Kim, conducted by a reporter from Dong-A Science on the topic of his book If Mathematics is the Language of Life, was published.

On September 20th, our postdoc Dr. Gavina gave a talk on the paper “Achieving Occam’s razor: Deep learning for optimal model reduction” at the Journal Club.
On September 13th, our postdoc Dr. Kim gave a talk on the paper “Deep learning linking mechanistic models to single-cell transcriptomics data reveals transcriptional bursting in response to DNA damage” at the BIMAG journal club.
On September 6th, our student Olive gave a talk on the paper “Predicting multiple observations in complex systems through low-dimensional embeddings” at the Journal Club.
Former BIMAG member, Dr. Daewook Kim, began his role as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at KAIST on September 1.
Starting September, Dr. Seokjoo Chae begins as a postdoctoral associate at Rice University.
On August 16th, our postdoc Dr. Spinicci gave a talk on “SMSSVD : Submatrix selection singular value decomposition” at the Journal Club.
