Dae Wook Kim received the KSIAM Young Researcher Paper Award. Congratulation!
On June 26, 2021, Dae Wook Kim from our group received the KSIAM Young Researcher Paper Award for his paper “Wake-sleep cycles are severely disrupted by diseases affecting cytoplasmic homeostasis”, PNAS (2020). Accordingly, he gave a talk introducing his work at the 2021 KSIAM spring conference. Congratulation!

Our Group Members participated in the 2021 SMB Virtual Meeting and were awarded presentation prizes!
During 13 – 18 June 2021, the annual meeting of the SMB was held online. Our group members gave seven presentations (1 Special SIAM Session, 2 Minisymposia, 1 Contributed talk, and 3 Posters).
Moreover, Seokjoo Chae and Yun Min Song were awarded poster presentation prizes. Congratulation!


Hyukpyo Hong presented what Mathematical Biology about at the ‘Mobile science classroom (이동과학교실)’ hosted by the NRF(한국연구재단)
On May 11, Hyukpyo Hong in our group gave a presentation introducing Mathematical Biology at the ‘Mobile science classroom (이동과학교실)’ hosted by the NRF(한국연구재단) as educational volunteering. His presentation was recorded and now is available on Youtube (only in Korean).

Dae Wook Kim is selected as the Van Loo Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Professor, the most prestigious applied mathematics Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Dae Wook said “I am thankful to my adviser who has inspired me to successfully develop my academic career. I am excited to continue research for mathematical biology and medicine.”
