On May 11, Hyukpyo Hong in our group gave a presentation introducing Mathematical Biology at the ‘Mobile science classroom (이동과학교실)’ hosted by the NRF(한국연구재단) as educational volunteering. His presentation was recorded and now is available on Youtube (only in Korean).
On 4 June, Dae Wook Kim in our group gave his Ph.D. defense presentation.
We hope his successful defense for his thesis!
On April 16, 2021, the NAVER post IBS series gave an introduction to our group, BIMAG (link).
On March 22, 2021, Dae Wook Kim from the IBS Biomedical Mathematics Group gave a talk about his research at BRIC Webinar. The title was “Revealing causes of disrupted wake-sleep cycles using mathematical model.”
Dae Wook Kim is selected as the Van Loo Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Professor, the most prestigious applied mathematics Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Dae Wook said “I am thankful to my adviser who has inspired me to successfully develop my academic career. I am excited to continue research for mathematical biology and medicine.”
Biomedical Mathematics Group (BIMAG) in the Institute for Basic Science, led by its Chief Investigator Jae Kyoung Kim, is established.
