Scientists discover a key source of cell-to-cell heterogeneity in cell signaling pathways/

Led by Prof. KIM Jae Kyoung, researchers at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) and KAIST revealed that the number of slowest steps in cell signaling pathways is a key source of cell-to-cell heterogeneity. master clock and the slave clock operate via different molecular mechanisms. This work has been published in Science Advances.
