Postdoctoral research associate position on AMoRE experiment at IBS (Institute for Basic Science), Korea

The center for underground physics (CUP, https://cupweb.ibs.re.kr) at IBS in Korea invites applications for a Postdoctoral research associate position to work on AMoRE experiment. The position is full-time for an initial one-year and extendable up to three-year. The annual salary will be at least 49M KRW (roughly 46K USD) depending on skills and experience of the applicant. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the past 5 years.

The AMoRE is an experiment to search for neutrinoless double beta decay utilizing low temperature sensors coupled with molybdate crystals containing enriched Mo-100 isotopes. We are currently running AMoRE-I with 6 kg of the molybdate crystals, and are preparing AMoRE-II experiment with 200 kg of molybdate crystals which is scheduled to begin in early 2022 at the new underground lab, Yemilab in Korea.

The successful candidate will work on some fields of the preparation of AMoRE-II detector systems, the background reduction, the data acquisition and analysis, the simulations for understanding backgrounds, etc.
