Postdoctoral position on AMoRE experiment at IBS (Institute for Basic Science), KoreaThe center for underground physics (CUP, https://cupweb.ibs.re.kr) at IBS in Korea invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position to work on operation and data analysis of AMoRE experiment. The position is full-time for an initial one-year and extendable up to five-year. The annual salary will be at least 50M KRW (roughly 45k USD) depending on skills and experience of the applicant. The AMoRE is an experiment to search for neutrinoless double beta decay of Mo-100 isotopes. The experiment use low temperature sensors based on MMC (metallic magnetic calorimeter) coupled with molybdate crystals containing enriched mo-100 isotopes. We are currently preparing AMoRE-I run installing 6 kg of the molybdate crystals, and prepare a more extended program of AMoRE-II with 200 kg of molybdate crystals. The successful candidate will mainly work on the data analysis including the simulations for the understanding and the reduction of the background sources. He/She is also expected to lead the data acquisition and on-line data monitoring of the experiments. Frequent traveling to and staying at the experimental site is expected. Applicants should send a CV, a brief research statement, a list of publications, and three letters of recommendation to Mr. ByungJin Choi (bjchoi@ibs.re.kr). Any questions or inquires for the position shall be asked to Prof. Yeongduk Kim (ydkim@ibs.re.kr). For the full consideration, the application and letters should be submitted by April 30, 2019 while the application is opened until the positions are filled. |
