The "Cosmic Theater - Montage of Shadows" will open September 29 at the Creative Center of the Daejeon Museum of Art. The event is co–organized by IBS and the Daejeon Museum of Art; the exhibition will feature crossover artworks between IBS researchers and two Korean artists.

The exhibit is a combination of IBS "Art in Science" and the museum's "ARTIST" (Art In Science & Technology), which represent the two institutions' effort to merge science and art. Artists KIM Suyeon and SHON Kyung-Hwan, working with IBS Research Fellows HA Changhyon (IBS Center for Underground Physics), CHANG Sanghyeon (IBS Center for Theoretical Physics of the Universe), KIM Young-Im and CHOI Jihoon (IBS Center for Axion and Precision Physics), translated research materials and scientific insights into the artworks.

"Science and art results from our highly intellectual experiences, and thus combining them is a great opportunity for scientists and artists to gain new perspectives," said IBS President KIM Duchul. "I hope the this crossover project will inspire awe in many people and help engage them more in science."

The exhibit continues until December 18 and IBS will have a two-day special exhibit on November 17 to 18.
