Research fellow/Visiting fellow/PhD student positions at Center for Theoretical Physics of Complex Systems, IBS- Research fellow/Visiting fellow/PhD student positions - The Center for Theoretical Physics of Complex Systems invites multiple research fellow/visiting fellow/PhD student positions in theoretical and computational photonics. The focus of the position will be in investigating fundamental linear and nonlinear processes in photonic systems hosting nontrivial topological phases, including optical waveguide lattices, coupled microring resonators, photonic crystals, and exciton-polariton condensates in structured potentials, among others. Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent computational skills, and the ability to work effectively and congenially with other center members are essential for all positions. Applicants should also have a strong interest to work in a multidisciplinary and dynamic research environment. Research fellow positions range from postdoctoral to sabbatical levels, with flexible duration (not shorter than one year). PhD fellowships are typically for three years. Salaries will be commensurate with experience. Applicants should send a single PDF file containing a cover letter, a CV (including publication list), a statement of research interests (one or two pages), and arrange for two letters of recommendation to be emailed to pcs@ibs.re.kr. For more information interested applicants may contact Dr. Daniel Leykam (dleykam@ibs.re.kr) |
