The Center for Axion and Precision Physics Research (CAPP), within the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) is hosting the third multinational Korea Undergraduate/graduate/H.S. Science Program 2017 (KUSP 2017) from July 3 to August 4, 2017.

KUSP provides up-to-date educational and research opportunities for talented students in physics. This year 26 outstanding high school students, college students, and graduate students from Korea, UK, USA, Vietnam, Greece, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Poland, and Turkey will spend five weeks at CAPP. The participants are assigned a researcher and have the opportunity to complement what they learn in class with cutting-edge research experience and talks. They will learn about IBS-CAPP expertise in: Standard Model, supersymmetry, axion search, cosmology, beam dynamics, cryogenics, superconducting quantum interference device, radio frequency engineering techniques, etc. and tour the Korea Multi-Purpose Accelerator Complex (KOMAC) and the National Fusion Research Institute (NFRI).

In addition to the physics lectures and research activities, the participants are offered Korean classes, cultural activities, and field trips. In this way, they will have the opportunity not only to broaden their scientific literacy, but also gain an international perspective and mutual exchange. They will share what they have learned with a poster exhibition (August 3-11, lobby of KAIST Munji campus).

This program is expected to boost Asia's education and research in basic science as well as prepare students for their future career path.
