Science Makes Second Announcement to Recruit New President
- The IBS Presidential
Search/Nomination Committee (PSC) makes a second announcement to recruit a new
president. The successful candidate will serve a five-year term as the second IBS
president. The application period will be from Monday, July 21 until Wednesday, August 20.
The PSC has received several applications in the first
round and conducted an application review to select three final candidates. Since
it has not been able to select many candidates to interview, the PSC has decided
to re-open the application period in order to invite more candidates to apply.
IBS is a government-funded research institute that has
been developed with the sole purpose of driving forward the development of
basic science. IBS is committed to identifying, developing and advancing
discoveries in basic science and groundbreaking technology through world-class
basic science research. IBS is seeking candidates who have strong leadership
skills and a compelling vision to lead the institute
into the future as a globally-recognized frontrunner in basic science.
Applicants should prepare all required
documents including an application form (or letter of recommendation from an organization or
institution), introductory letter, duty execution plan, etc.
All application materials should be submitted
by 18:00 (KST), Wednesday, August 20, 2014 either in person at IBS, via mail or
